Ebony Wood Rosary

Today, I made a new rosary out of some very nice Ebony Wood beads. They are so smooth! I think these rosary beads will be a pleasure to pray with. Tonight I will say my rosary on them for whoever will eventually own them.
I'm trying to think of some inexpensiver options for rosaries. I can't bring myself to lower the quality or to make plain unimaginative rosaries so I'm using different woods right now.
If you have any ideas, let me know.

Hello, I came across you page as I have been searching for info on how to make wooden rosaries. I have never made a rosary before, but I would like to make 60 chaplets of St. Michael to give to a group of people going through cursillo. I am thinking of using olive wood beads from the Holy Land that I have found online. Could I ask you what the name of the knot is that you use to seperate the beads, and also is there a special kind of string/ rope/ cord that you would recommend. I am looking to make some that the people who attend with treasure and bring back memories of their Cursillo when every they use it to pray. Any suggestions would be great.

Hello,
Our Lady's Rosary Makers which has a website (you'll have to do a search) has the cord you need plus the tool and instructions. I think you'll need a diagram which I can't provide. It's not hard once you get the hang of it.

Our Lady's Rosary Makers has Olive Wood beads, too, so you'll be all set.
Peace and Many blessings. I made my Cursillo Weekend a long time ago.
